Town and regional planner, senior researcher and policymaker. Former President of ISOCARP, he is currently Senior Lecturer and Adjunct Professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Faculty of Economics, in Economic and Political Geography. He has collaborated, as consultant, with ministries, cities and towns across Europe, holding key positions in international organisations dedicated to urban planning (PLANUM.NET, IUPF.NET), and currently serves as President of the Global Designers Association (GDA). International expert in urban regeneration policies, integrated planning for small and medium-sized cities, and smart city development, he collaborates with EU universities and research centres and works with major international institutions (European Commission – URBACT and UIA Secretariats, UN-Habitat, UNECE) on strategic planning and research initiatives. Dr Elisei regularly delivers keynote speeches at international conferences and publishes extensively on urban planning and territorial development.
