The Urban Planner Branch (UPB) of GDA is open to practitioners, scholars, universities and professional institutions engaged in urban planning worldwide. Centering on internationalization and professional development, it builds a globally connected platform for professional exchanges and cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on cutting-edge international planning concepts, it promotes in-depth mutual learning between Chinese and foreign urban planning sectors, standardizes industrial development, facilitates sustainable and high-quality development of cities across the globe, and strives to forge an authoritative and leading international platform for exchanges and services in the field of urban planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.Conduct research on global urban issues, and deliver international planning solutions and best practices.
2.Build an international exchange and cooperation platform for global planners, and host international forums and academic seminars.
3.Advance scientific research, education and training, discipline construction and talent cultivation in the urban planning industry.
4.Organize university student competitions and professional award selections in the field of urban planning, and promote benchmark practices.
5.Provide professional consulting on urban planning and sustainable development for governments and enterprises; organize planning competitions and workshops, launch programs for young planners, and disseminate cutting-edge planning theories and practical cases.
6.Promote public participation in urban governance, help underdeveloped regions and developing countries enhance their planning capacity, and narrow the global urban-rural development gap.
7.Safeguard the rights and interests of the planning industry, support the career development of planners, and elevate the global influence of the urban planning profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
