Daniele Vettorato works at EURAC Research in Italy, where he leads the research group on Urban and Regional Energy Systems.  <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds an MSc in Urban, Regional and Environmental Planning from the IUAV University of Venice and a Masters (MPhil) in Urban and Regional Planning for Developing Countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniele has co-authored more than 65 publications with over 1000 citations and has been invited as a lecturer and speaker in more than 100 events, trainings and university courses. Outside Europe he has worked in Brazil, Chile, Cambodia, Kenya, Mozambique, UAE, Russia and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is a member of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) since 2008, where he served as a board member between 2017 and 2023. He is one of the Director of the  Institute for Urban Excellence (IuE) and Founding member of the International Urban Professional Forum (IUPF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is currently serving the International Energy Agency as an expert in the TCP-Cities, EBC and SHC Tasks and Annexes on the topics of Urban\/Energy Nexus, Positive Energy Districts and Solar Neighbourhood Planning. Daniele coordinates a group of 40 researchers at EURAC research \u2013 Italy and has been scientific coordinator and project manager in several EU co-funded projects including some Smart City and Communities Light House projects in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
