Upholding the development philosophy of innovation, coordination, green growth, openness and shared benefits, the forum centered on core themes including ecological civilization development, territorial spatial planning, architectural and landscape design, featuring sixteen thematic forums and two master lecture sessions. More than one hundred academicians, industry specialists and leading design masters from multiple countries and regions across the globe gathered onsite, with nearly 1,000 professionals participating offline. The conference also connected overseas experts via live video links and launched full-time video &amp; graphic live streaming, enabling real-time global knowledge sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rooted in green, low-carbon and eco-friendly principles, the development of healthy human settlements and future cities aligns closely with the global consensus on peaking carbon emissions, achieving carbon neutrality and advancing green development transformation. Osman Tahir, President of the Asian Landscape Architecture Society, stated in his address that against this developmental backdrop, the exchange of cutting-edge theories, applicable technologies and practical experience by experts at home and abroad will strongly advance the delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Agenda\u2019s goal of \u201cCities for All\u201d, and foster healthier future living environments with superior quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5113\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-1-203x135.jpg 203w, http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-1-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-1.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the conference, Gu Shuzhong, Vice Chairman of the China Society of Natural Resources, systematically interpreted China\u2019s natural resource governance system. Academician Xia Jun, President of the IWRA; Academician Wang Yanxin, President of China University of Geosciences; and Bao Daming, Deputy Director of the Wetland Department of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, respectively shared in-depth reflections and practical solutions for urban low-carbon green development regarding Yangtze River Basin conservation, comprehensive lake governance and wetland ecological restoration. Zhang Jianting, expert of WCCO presented hands-on experience in ecological restoration and systematic governance from the renovation of the West Lake in Hangzhou. Professor Zhang Li, Dean of the School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, illustrated how Beijing Winter Olympic venues interpret sustainable architectural development from multiple dimensions. Vo Trong Nghia, a distinguished Vietnamese architect, elaborated on design approaches to \u201crestore the planet\u2019s greenery\u201d from an international perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-zhangli-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5116\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-zhangli-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-zhangli-203x135.jpg 203w, http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-zhangli-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.gdeas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/11-zhangli.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the forum, numerous ecological specialists, urban planners, architects and landscape architects engaged in intensive idea exchanges to deliver solutions for sustainable urban development. The United Kingdom has accumulated mature experience in resilient urban construction.
